Ras Craft Hifi is a roots reggae and dub sound system from the heart of Upper Lusatia.
After years of research and tinkering, it first reached the ears of an audience in July 2017.
A sound system is a self-built music system in the style of the Jamaican and English speaker towers that first emerged in the 60s and 70s and form the origin of disco culture.
The goal is to reproduce the frequencies of the music in a way that is tangible, even perceptible throughout the entire body. Only the highest quality and most proven medium for high fidelity is
used: vinyl records.
In the "King David style," only one turntable is used, and pauses during record changes are filled with effects pedals, instruments, or the own voice.
No monotonous mix of beats and bits, but rather conscious musical enjoyment, track by track.
